Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 9 pm until 8 am. Guests should avoid hallway noise, and children should not play in the halls.

Recycling

April through November, recycling is in the Fitness Center parking lot. During ski season, a second recycling dumpster is adjacent to the Building D trash dumpster.

Luggage Carts

Guest carts are at the base of the main stairs on the parking-lot side. Return carts immediately after use, do not overload them, and do not use them for firewood.

Firewood

Firewood is in locked bins outside the lodge-side entrances. Use the owner-provided key, re-lock bins after use, and dispose of ashes in the aluminum cans by the wood bins when departing.

Fireplace Lighting Instructions

Establish a good draft before lighting a fire to help prevent smoke from spilling into the room or adjoining units. Use well-seasoned wood and follow the owner instructions for ashes and firewood access.

  1. 1Open the flue damper fully before lighting a fire.
  2. 2Place crumpled or twisted paper under the fireplace grate.
  3. 3Arrange kindling or small pieces of wood loosely in a tent shape.
  4. 4Pre-warm the flue with a rolled piece of burning newspaper held below the damper for a few moments.
  5. 5Light the paper, then add small wood pieces until a hot bed of embers has formed.
  6. 6Add at least three average pieces of split firewood with space for air and flames between them.
